Nothing Gold Can Ever Stay

This picture was taken earlier this year when Athens got a good little snow storm. I love snow and do not get to see it enough living here in the south. I have great memories from this snow and greatly enjoyed that weekend. I did not get to take as many picture as would have liked but this is one that I do love. It is a close up shot of the snow that is on the road. There is a clear path in the middle where the car's have been. The snow in the foreground is in the middle of the road replacing the double yellow lines that normal separate traffic.

This picture shows some of the different faces of snow: The bright, pretty white snow we all picture, the tinged with dirty snow, the melting chunks of snow that look more like ice without the white color, and even the puddles from melted snow. I think most things in life are like snow and come in many different forms. It is not a matter of is this good for me or is this right, but rather is this the right form. We should not be so quick to judge things as bad for us but instead just evaluate the situations with more care and then make choices. For instance, you might not need to cute something out of your life; just learn exactly how you need it and the boundaries or rules that are appropriate.
